Treat abbreviations as a single word
Stuff like U.K. Is currently treated as two sentences, rather than one word. It would be great when you come across a period to check how many letters there are before the next period, and set a cap at maybe five or so.
It's not clear to me what you mean by "how many letters there are before the next period, and set a cap at maybe five or so". What's the cap for? Could it be simpler to check if there is a (space) after the punctuation?
