Request : Full test with the new CapacityTester GUI
Hello, I've just tested the new version of CapacityTester v0.7. It would be a good idea to offer the full test below the quick start, as having to click on "Quick Start" then "Back" to be able to select the "Full Test" is not very ergonomic.
Full disclosure: I'm not a UI designer. It took me months to figure out how to combine the different dialogs into a more user-friendly ui. Which also means I'm open for suggestions, so thanks.
But you don't really need to go back after clicking quick start. The quick start button is for starting the default test type without asking the user too many questions. If you want options, click next, next again, then select full test.
What happened is I showed the old UI to a person who is not dumb at all, that guy is able to work his way through a literal archive of hundreds of folders (Herlitz, not digital), reorganizing and scanning them all etc. but when he had a USB flash stick he wanted to test, I opened up CapacityTester yet he was somehow unable to understand and navigate it. It is this sort of user I had in mind when I came up with the quick start button and made it light up red so it catches attention. I'm almost sure if I were to add another button of the same size there, that person / type of user would again be unable to decide which button to click and ask me to do it.
But again, I'm open for suggestions so if you have something in mind that wouldn't overcomplicate the UI, please do let me know.
