Duplicate Tabs on Wake up
It seems when I put my PC to sleep and tabs return during that time, the returned tabs duplicate. If the PC is running, there is no issue though. Troubleshooting Info:
- OS: Windows 10 (162299.309)
- Firefox Version: 59.0.2
Same here.
I too experience this issue. I think it may be due to me always having two Firefox browsers open when snoozing, and when those tabs awake, perhaps there's two sessions of snooze tabs (each one associated with a Firefox browser window) loading the sites?
Hi @bwinton, From my experience duplicate tabs are related to not yet established internet connection. So may be it can be fixed by https://github.com/bwinton/SnoozeTabs/issues/467.
Cases:
- leave Firefox open, put PC to sleep, wake up PC, snoozed tabs open before Wi-Fi connected = duplicate tabs
- leave Firefox open, put PC to sleep, wake up PC, Wi-Fi connected before snoozed tabs open = no duplicate tabs
- start PC after Power off, start Firefox before Wi-Fi connected = duplicate tabs
- start PC after Power off, wait while Wi-Fi connection established, start Firefox = no duplicate tabs
OS: Windows 11 Firefox 109.0
Had this happen excessively on my last launch, popped AFK and came back to being a window that made me feel like some absolutely insane stalker, it managed to 'rehydrate' this snoozed tab over 300 times.

I haven't found this to be an issue related to WiFi on my side as the machine has a networked connection. I have found that if I close the window after the duplicate loads start then on the next load it only loads one additional round of whatevers relevant to unsnooze for the session. Seems like it gets stuck in some kind of loop on some loads though? Potentially because of launching many windows could be a guess of mine
Oh, yeah, that sounds familiar. I'm not sure what's causing it, though.
