App becomes unresponsive after pasting huge amount of text

Open luukjanssens opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

I accidentally pasted a big amount of text into the text-box, which made the app unresponsive. After force-quiting it and restarting, it runs (the icon shows up in the menubar) but once the icon gets clicked it won't expand, and the app becomes unresponsive again.

Removing and reinstalling the app didn't help.

Is there a local file I can delete to reset the content of the text-box, or is there any other solution to get rid of the current content?

@luukjanssens I'm sorry for this issue. I will fix it shortly. Now you can delete user defaults for the app executing this command in your terminal app: defaults delete com.buddax2.tmpNote

Or you can find this file in Finder and remove it (just replace ##username## with your own): /Users/##userName##/Library/Containers/com.buddax2.tmpNote/Data/Library/Preferences/com.buddax2.tmpNote.plist

It will clear the text and all preferences.

Please let me know if everything is fine.

Hi @buddax2 , using the terminal command worked!

Thanks
