Back button does nothing

In certain screens and won't exit app. Also, sometimes menu bar disappears and there is no way to access the sidebar or change view.

I think this is a "feature" rather than a bug. I hope it gets fixed though.

In running mode back button is disabled, this is a feature, some device have sensitive button which can be press only by a t shirt softly touching it.

The fact that the menu bar disappears is indeed a bug

I can't go back using the back button no matter where I am.

Adding, now in settings the back button does not work at all too. I have to shut down the app completely to exit everytime. Maybe add an "Close" in the menu?
