DELETE button in applications

Open luistope opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

The delete button on the Application page is very dangerous. If you tick on the checkbox of several devices and you push delete. You can think you're deleting the devices, but really you're deleting the entire application. If you enter in a device file the delete button continues appearing and I think is the application delete button. When you push the delete button there is no "are you sure question".

Just mistakenly deleted my application as well. Luckily I backup all my devices.

The select device check boxes are misleading. Makes you think that you can delete only one. Then you realize that you just deleted your application along with all the applications :)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add an Are you sure you want to delete everything? warning when you click the DELETE button. It's way too easy to delete the whole application by mistake!

@CanuckMarc please note that this issue was addressed in ChirpStack v4. All delete buttons require you to enter the name of the application / device / gateway / ... that you want to delete:
