Mac Download is broken

Summary The Mac application will not open and only has a pop up that says: "'bridge' is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to https://bridge-core.app/guide/download/
  2. Click on the MacOS download link
  3. After download, click to open dmg file
  4. Click and drag bridge app to Application folder
  5. Double click to open bridge app from Application folder

Observed behavior Bridge app will not open, only a pop up comes up (see screenshot).

Expected behavior Bridge app opens and functions after double clicking it to open.

Thanks for letting me know. It's hard to test these because I don't have a Mac, but I'll try to figure out what's causing this.

Version 2.7.34 still shows up as broken unfortunately.

We've identified the issue and I'm pretty sure we've worked out the solution. Working on fixing it for real right now. As a work around you can run this command to fix the app xattr -c <path/to/application.app>
