Zooming wonky
Expected Behavior
When scrolling up, I expect a zoom inwards When scrolling down, I expect a zoom outwards
Actual Behavior
When scrolling up, nothing happens
When scrolling down, it locks in my zoom at a very annoying up-close level
Only way to zoom back out is to click the "zoom to fit" button
IF this is an intended feature, this is not great UX
Steps to Reproduce the Problem
- Go to https://breadboard-ai.web.app/?board=idb%3A%2F%2Fdefault%2Fblank.json
- le zoom
Specifications
- Version: Has to be the latest at whatever https://breadboard-ai.web.app/ is on as of making the issue
- Platform: Website, Chrome 118.0.5993.70 on Ubuntu
The published version seems fine on MacOS for me. @paullewis do you have an Ubuntu machine to test this with?
Le zoom stille wonkers :pensive: bump?
@bedros-p no need to bump -- we hear you and are grateful for the bug report. There's lots of them though, and we have to take fixing them in stride.
I'm not able to repro on Mac. I'll try Ubuntu and see if I can get anything to misbehave.
I've tried on Ubuntu 22.04.3 (vanilla install) with Chrome 123.0.6312.105 and I'm unable to repro. @bedros-p Do you have any extensions installed, or any other settings that might be changing the default behaviours? And are you using a touchpad or mouse?
For what it's worth - when I try and pinch zoom on my Mac I get the opposite result of what i'd expect to happen. For example, we're the opposite of what Google maps (web site) does.... That's also how I read how "Expected Behaviour is written"

I tried it on a guest profile, still the same, just the usual sudden zoom and only when scrolling downwards (no option to zoom out unless i click the fit to view button)
and are you using a touchpad or mouse?
Mouse, scroll wheel zoom is broken
Going to close this because we've redone the editor and this should be WAI now.
