DIO toggles in sidebar and hotkeys

Someone asked for DIO toggle buttons in the left sidebar similar to how you can add PTZ IR, Brightness, Contrast buttons.

They also requested hotkeys to toggle them.

Currently the only DIO toggle button in UI3 is "DIO output 1" in the Camera Properties panel and I have no idea what it does or if this is even related.

I don't really understand what DIO is used for or how it is configured in Blue Iris, so I don't really know where to start on this.

Any input from those who care about such a function would be appreciated.
