GIMP 2.10: Application error (0x000007b)
Any chance to get the updated windows binaries, working for GIMP 2.10 at http://registry.gimp.org/node/27986 ?
I just upgraded GIMP to 2.10 and it gives me the errors (freely translated)
Application error (0x000007b). Couldn't start the app correctly.
for resynthesizer.exe and resynthesizer-gui.exe
When using the http://registry.gimp.org/files/Resynthesizer_v1.0-i686.zip files.
Thank you.
That site is a frozen site, I think, so I don't think it is possible for me to upload or remove?
I just checked on gimpsers.com. A thread there says that other builds for Windows still work for GIMP 2.10.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I might need to update the readme to point Windows users away from http://registry.gimp.org/node/27986. First I need to vet another site that builds Windows binaries.
@bootchk I'm pretty sure it's an issue with GIMP 2.10 shipping in 64bit now (gimp-2.10.0-x64-setup.exe). Gimp-registry (i686) ZIP contains 32bit executables which do not work with the 64bit version of GIMP.
Thanks for the gimpusers.com tip, I did find a ZIP containing both 32/64bit . The 64bit version is working fine for GIMP 2.10.

You may run CI and build resynthesizer on https://www.appveyor.com/
@m1d1 You can try this branch: http://reddog.s35.xrea.com/wiki/Resynthesizer%202.0%20Windows%20Binary.html
GIMP also released 2.10.2, which added support for some old plugins.
