Why you believe this to be a false positive: archive.org hosts free books, music, videos... and also the wayback machine, which is the only tool available to visit old versions of websites. It is not a torrenting site, although it offers some downloads as torrent.

why is archive.org even on a blocklist?

I see that someone suggested it on issue #230, there was no reply there, so I can't know if that is the reason. Ironically, most requests here include an archive.org link to the website to be blocked, but then archive.org is on a blocklist.
