🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳 Hacktoberfest 2025: goose Recipes Hub

Welcome to the central hub for all goose recipe contributions during Hacktoberfest 2025!
This is where we track recipe submissions, give guidance, and celebrate contributors.

🎯 Overview

Recipes are reusable goose workflows that package extensions, prompts, and settings together. They make it easy to share proven workflows with your team and reproduce successful results consistently.

Recipes can be simple (a single extension automating one task) or complex (multi-step workflows using sub-recipes).

📚 Learn more about recipes here: goose Recipes Tutorial (YouTube)

🏆 Point System (based on complexity)

We don't assign specific tasks — recipes come from your real goose workflows. Points are based on extensions + sub-recipes:

  • 5 points (Beginner):

    • Uses 1 extension only (e.g., Developer, Filesystem).
    • Straightforward workflow.
  • 10 points (Intermediate):

    • Uses 2 extensions together (e.g., GitHub + Summarizer, Browser + Developer).
    • May include 1 sub-recipe for specialization.
  • 10-15 points (Advanced):

    • Uses 3+ extensions in a single recipe, and/or multiple sub-recipes chained together.
    • Demonstrates orchestration, parameter passing, or parallel execution.

✨ Inspiration examples: file automation, note takers, API integrations, code review helpers, testing assistants, data pipelines, or research workflows.
But don't feel limited — any workflow you've used with goose is welcome.
