Listen for multiple reverse connections

Open alkisg opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Reverse connections are very useful in a lot of cases. For example,

  • A technician runs vncviewer -listen
  • Users that need support can then use x11vnc -connect technician-ip to share their screens with him

Epoptes is also using reverse connections for teachers to be able to assist the students, even if the students are behind NAT without port 5900 forwarding.

Currently multivnc can only support one incoming connection, while for example xvnc4viewer -listen can accept any number of connections. It would be great if multivnc could support this feature, and its tabbed interface would be a lot easier to manage than all the different windows that xvnc4viewer spawns.

Thank you!

I'm not able to invest a substantial amount of time

Unfortunately that's the case for me as well, and it's the main reason that epoptes relies on external programs instead of directly using libvnc. :/

Thank you for your time!
