Proteins API Integration

For a project that I'm working on I am leveraging several protein sources (NCBI Nuccore, UniProt, SwissProt, etc.). I have seen that Biopython offers some functionality with Entrez for NCBI. Is there any for the other sources mentioned, if there isn't is this something of interest?

just find . | grep -iing the source tree shows some functionality for SwissProt and UniProt
