@owenssm, let me know if you have questions about what we're looking for here.

I can do an update tomorrow (5/16)

Sorry - do you need a list of all projects that have been sequenced in the EMP, or all the projects we want for EMP_500 (not complete yet)?

@ackermag, I just assigned you to the issue since it seems most relevant to you (and I'm in an assigning mood). We don't need an inventory beyond what we have. Qiita is effectively the inventory of processed samples, and our Google Docs and the new JIRA system are the inventory of the pledged and unprocessed samples.

Does a link to the EMP studies google doc suffice? Or, do we need to add a column with your project naming standard?

Those are both good things to include; thanks for those suggestions. Before we think about closing the issue, let's discuss at the next EMP meeting about the best system to track studies. I'm thinking low tech with existing tools is good, as simple as workflow with three stages:

  1. Google docs >
  2. JIRA projects >
  3. Qiita studies

Using project and sample naming strategies.
