For our Debian OS, I had to package your software, you can find it in [1].

it does not change your code, the packaging just adds the relevant files to integrate them in a Debian based OS.

$ sudo dpkg -l lyra_...deb

installs the headers on the system. The only really meaningful change is the addition of a pkgconf file (see debian/patches/)

We depend on a fully packaged OS for software re-use.

One note.. the license you indicate (https://salsa.debian.org/televic-team/lyra/-/blob/master/debian/copyright?ref_type=heads) is incorrect. It should be BSL-1.0 (https://github.com/bfgroup/Lyra/blob/develop/LICENSE.txt).
