sessionStorage not working on Firefox with Cookies disabled
When acessing http://createjs.org/demo/hallo/, I get the following error in Firefox:
The operation is insecure.
http://createjs.org/js/create.js
Line 108
I haven't looked at the code yet, but a quick search found this link, maybe this is a related issue:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10929337/firefox-13-0-cross-domain-localstorage-access-error-the-operation-is-insecure
Can't reproduce on Firefox 13.
Still happens on my end with Firefox 13.0.1 on Kubuntu. Maybe it's triggered by NoScript or something similar?
@flack I could easily imagine NoScript causes such hassle. Can you disable the plugin and try again?
Just tried again with FF 13.0.1 und Win7 with NoScript deactivated, but I get the same error message. I have a couple of other addons that I could try to deactivate, I'll try some expriments when I have the time
I just tried again with all plugins disabled (hurray for boring meetings with internet connection!), the error still persists
Here the output from FF error console, which has a bit more info than the one from firebug:
[11:37:30.431] uncaught exception: [Exception... "The operation is insecure." code: "18" nsresult: "0x80530012 (SecurityError)" location: "http://createjs.org/js/create.js Line: 108"]
Seems the issue is with cookies. If cookies are disabled, Firefox doesn't allow sessionStorage
