Upon running any of the installation commands, this warning pops up

npm warn Unknown project config "link-workspace-packages". This will stop working in the next major version of npm.

Do you mean if you run npx @counterscale/cli install?

So link-workspace-packages is an option set in .npmrc meant for pnpm, but I guess npm is also reading .npmrc and doesn't like it.

Not sure what the solution here is because pnpm wants an .npmrc. Hmm.

These npx wrangler login npx @counterscale/cli@latest install both emit that warning.

We can use linkWorkspacePackages in pnpm-workspace.yaml and remove it from .npmrc
