After installing on the latest version, 17.9.0 Preview 1.0, there is an issue

After installing CSharpier on the latest version, 17.9.0 Preview 1.0, Visual Studio freezes. Opening any project that contains code results in a freeze, and I am unable to perform any operations.

It happens to me as well, on Visual Studio 17.8.0 on a fresh install of Windows 11 build 22621.2715.

Assuming you are running a 0.26.x version of csharpier, then I believe I have a resolution to the problem. See https://github.com/belav/csharpier/issues/926#issuecomment-1817939428 for more details.
