Buttons do not appear on mobile

On both iOS and Android, the webvr-manager buttons do not appear and so VR mode cannot be entered. It's hard to see the javascript console output, so unknown how big the problem is.

First see if this can be debugged via emulation on desktop, then investigate remote Android debugging via USB.
