@Nowosad - please take a look at:
- pipeline adjusted to new CRAN policy for HTML5
- added R devel image which is also required by CRAN
- boiler plate prefix for all (problematic) functions that are now called with
tryCatch- to avoid errors on not properly downloaded files (as request by prof. Ripley). - adjusting unit tests for new solution
- plenty of other minor changes, including lintr, documentations, etc.
I am wondering whether the boiler plate functions that are named with _bp shouldn't be "hidden" a bit more - I am open to discussion / hints. Thx!

My testing process was fairly simple:
- Disable my internet connection
- Run
devtools::check(vignettes = FALSE)
The result suggest that several failures still exist:
