ASA: Winter 2024 User Research with OpSp
User Story: As a user experience researcher, I want to understand the processes that Operation Specialists undertake to create or contribute a Fire Behaviour Advisory (FBA) so that I can improve the usability and effectiveness of their tools and workflows, comparing any new findings with previous ones.
Background: I need to interview OpSps to gain insights into their workflow and processes for creating FBAs. This involves identifying and reaching out to OpSps listed in the Advisory Group spreadsheet. During the interviews, I will ask questions and observe their their decision-making process including the tools and resources they use, the challenges they face, and any suggestions they may have for improving their workflow. This information will help me validate their needs and pain points in comparison with the Miro board, Agile UX: FBA end user research, so that our team can focus on building tools which have the most value to support OpSp's work.
Acceptance Criteria:
- [x] Conduct interviews with at least five experienced Operations Specialists, focusing on Fire Centres not yet interviewed.
- [x] Compare interview findings with previous observations (Miro) to validate consistency or identify differences.
- [x] Document notes from each interview and update Miro board with any new findings or tasks identified as critical.
- [x] Provid recommendations and create a Journey Map for future workshop for prioritizing needs.
Findings are distilled in Miro board's Journey Map and Priority Matrix.
Ready to brainstorm ideas with Agile team.
Did a review with Neal, Eric and Brett today. Key takeaways and ideas are on the Miro board, found here.
