MaterialUI license purchase
Context: The team would like to purchase 3 MaterialUI Pro licenses to allow for easy, reliable functionality of certain desired features within MoreCast, which makes use of a MaterialUI DataGrid as a major piece of it's frontend components. The feature we want to implement is a user desired feature, and would have a significant effect on their workflow through the fire season. Many features within MaterialUI are free, but Pro comes with a number of additional features that would improve the functionality of MoreCast in a reliable way, and save significant dev time. MaterialUI Pro will provide other features that we can make use of in the future as well, apart from just the current feature we want to implement.
There are 2 license options available, Annual and Perpetual. The annual license is preferred. Both a have term of 1 year for updates and support. On both license models, any version released before the end of the license term is forever available for applications deployed in production. The main difference is that the perpetual license allows you to continue development on that version once the license expires. We see value in updating our packages regularly, and would lean towards the annual license for that reason.

Options 1. (preferred) Annual license - $180 USD/dev/year (3 devs = $540 USD) Needs to be renewed annually to continue development
2. Perpetual license - $540 USD/dev/year (3 devs = $1620 USD) Maintenance cost each year to continue getting updates to MaterialUI
- before the support expires: 50% discount
- up to 60 days after the support has expired: 35% discount
- more than 60 days after the support has expired: 15% discount
