Easily deliver client search result outputs to clients
User Story
As a staff user, when I perform MHR search on behalf of a client, I need to easily be able to send them their requested results via mail so that I don't have to manually draft a cover letter for mailing
@PatrickAHeath since search is in PROD I'd assume we have a current approach? With DB2 aren't we still generating outputs to the printer to mail?
This sounds like a need for moving to postgres if I understand correctly and if so I could check if there is any email capability that we could explore?
@mstanton1 If the search is done in the legacy application green screens, printing routes them to a printer by Sharon's desk (even for TEST). In the modernized MHR, the search outputs appear on the dashboard and staff would have to download the file and attach it to an email to get it to a client. Would be easier if there was a button to choose an email address and automatically send the PDF output from within MHR.
An MHR Cover letter has been created under #16607. This will be attached to registrations completed by staff only as part of the PDF. For manufacturer registrations a daily email will be sent to staff with all registrations from the day prior and a cover letter will be included for each registration PDF.
