Image preview not working

I can't seem to make Image preview working. Instead it shows that "image" tag in magenta color as shown in the screenshot.

To reproduce just clone this repo and open readme.adoc after installing adoc-mode from melpa-stable. My config and versions are as follows.


(setq adoc-display-images t)
(setq adoc-display-remote-images t)

adoc-mode, version 0.7.0
GNU Emacs 29.1 (build 1, x86_64-apple-darwin21.6.0, Carbon Version 165 AppKit 2113.6) of 2023-08-08
