Performance testing for external rsync
Describe the feature you'd like to have.
The performance numbers need to be captured in case of volsync migration on standard enviroment. ex: If a user is migrating from standalone glusterfs (distribute-replicate, 2*3) to on prem ODF cluster (users on standalone glusterfs prefer to move to on prem cluster considering performance parameter). This is important to showcase the volsync migration feature with numbers.
What is the value to the end user? (why is it a priority?)
Performance number is the most important parameter that end user always looks for and makes the feature attractive How will we know we have a good solution? (acceptance criteria)
migration perf numbers should atleast match Random RW fio numbers on standalone system (Please suggest what can be better comparison)
@JohnStrunk @v-harihar I am interested in working on getting performance numbers for Rsync. In past, I have worked set up automation to get performance numbers for PV transfer in MTC which also uses Rsync.
