EasyIDE Incompatible with Mathematica 12.3?

I have Mathematica 12.3. I tried installing EasyIDE as it seemed like it would be very helpful. It wouldn't install from https://paclets.github.io/PacletServer/easyide.html using PublicPacletInstall so I downloaded the paclet and used PacletInstall with the File option. The install seemed to be OK, but following the instructions to create a new IDE notebook: Format ? Stylesheet? EasyIDE ? LightMode , I did not get the EasyIDE interface as expected. I then closed Mathematica and then tried reopening the front end but the front end just flashed and wouldn't load. I deleted the EasyIDE paclet from the paclet directories, but the front end would still not load. I ended up reinstalling Mathematica.
