That's an issue of your file manager, not of apkExtractor. Try "Amaze" from F-Droid instead of your file manager.

Other apk extractors work fine on my file manager, why should I need extra file manager?

Because it works in all other file managers. Yours is trying to open it as an archive.

iam another user whom trying to find answer on the subject and i did follow what you wrote earlier on using other file manager. i tried "amaze" and yet got the same result. the thing is that, the apk installing on both file managers but when opened it fails to work and i'am being directed to the app store to download the app from there. its stating that there are missing components and therefor must be reinstalled via the app store. in my case i was using apk extractor app which probably couldnt extract all of the files needed to make it work. i will try and look for the original apk if still on my mobile somewhere and try to back it up. have a great day all.
