GPU support for running WDL jobs

Open yihming opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

Cromwell has runtime attributes such as gpuCount, gpuType and nvidiaDriverVersion (https://cromwell.readthedocs.io/en/stable/RuntimeAttributes/#gpucount-gputype-and-nvidiadriverversion), but it seems they only work for GCP.

So I'm wondering if AGC, genomics workflows, or Cromwell-AWS provides any support on specifying GPUs to use when running WDL jobs on AWS Batch.

If true, how can I use it? If not, do you have a plan on adding such support? Thanks!

Sincerely, Yiming

To follow up, I found this article https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/creating-an-aws-batch-environment-for-mixed-cpu-and-gpu-genomics-workflows/ talking about setting up GPU computing environments. Does it still work today?
