psycopg2 provides wait callbacks through libpq which enables usage of gevent and eventlet with Python libraries that wrap libmemcached such as pylibmc. http://initd.org/psycopg/docs/advanced.html#support-for-coroutine-libraries

Is there a chance it could be implemented in libmemcached?
