It just won't sync anymore
I last used Book Lib Connect maybe 6-12 months ago and everything was fine. Today I try to resync and my list of books stays the same even though it has changed. So I delete the profile and re-add it. Now it won't download my list of books at all. It seems like this project is not working anymore, can you confirm?
Having not used it for a longer time, your access token probably expired, and the renewal token possibly, too. A new profile should have been the way. But if that failed, try with a new local database. Delete (or rename)
C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\audiamus\BookLibConnect\data\audiobooks.db
Book Lib Connect will recreate it.
Hello @audiamus, thanks, I was facing the same issue, trying to resolve it for a month now, and deleting the database was the only thing that finally helped! I was worrying that the app stopped working. FYI: The problem is there, for many people, here are some details from me:
- I have successfully used BookLibConnect some time ago, but when I tried using it a few months after installation, the probem emerged
- I was logged in via BookLibConnect, I could press Download, Resync, my library was there, I could press Add Selected to add the book to the download list, but the RUN button was disabled (grayed out), so I could not press it to actually download anything.
- I tried reinstalling the app and logging in again - it picked up my existing profile, and nothing changed.
- I have tried to remove my profile and created a new profile - I have successfully logged in, but after pressing Resync no books were on the list!
- Deleting the database finally fixed the problem and allowed me to download my book. Here are you can find discussion with posts from last year, with people having problems with library syncing: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/77363
I do not know if this is relevant, but I haven't extended my trial after 3 months. I can still log in and listen to the books which are in my library, but maybe the change of account status was somehow connected with the RUN button being disabled.
I am not sure if you feel like debugging your 2-year-old app and publishing new version, but if you want, I hope that my insight will help you. If not, still thanks for the workaround with removing the database, it is perfectly usable solution.
