The audio clip can be played after it's been removed from a looped region of an audio track

Bug description

So basically I was messing around with Audacity's features, and came across a bug that is possibly not known by the developers, what I'm talking about is that Audacity can somehow magically play non-existent files, like they are still there.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Load/generate an audio clip
  2. Select and copy a portion of the clip or the clip as a whole
  3. Paste the copied audio clip anywhere onto the same audio track
  4. Ctrl (Cmd) + A, then enable Looping
  5. Select the just pasted audio clip
  6. Delete the clip selected, and click Play

Expected behavior

No sound when playing the audio track

Actual behavior

Audacity will play the deleted clip and then loop back to the original clip
