IoT Focus : Platforms, Hubs, Connectivity, Device Partners
Lead: @atsigndenise
According to McKinsey, Stack/Components Technology entry points for IoT look like this. 1 Apps Apps for the device managers/monitors Apps for the device owners
2 Platforms, Cloud Computing Enablement Platforms Cloud Computing
3 Connectivity Cellular networks – require SIMs for devices Low Power Wide Area Networks (LoRa, LoRAN) Local wireless networks (wifi)
4 Devices Smart connected devices Sensors – providing environmental information
This effort will focus on Platforms/Cloud Computing as an entry point for the @sign tech. Conversations have started and include these possibilities.
- [x] Talk to Kigen about the Google partnership and see how we can get involved @cconstab
- [x] Initiate outreach, use 2-page explainer if needed @denise @anthony
- [ ] Talk to AWS about our tech @cconstab
- [ ] Talk to Azure about our tech, try Edna Conway @atsigndenise
- [ ] Talk to Oracle cloud services, Denise has a contact @atsigndenise
- [ ] Capture feedback in a central location for context and history
Hello Anthony, Colin, Kevin, Barbara and Kim -- I have made some progress in that I reached out to both Henna and Edna Conway about into to Azure IoT Hub -- leading with a specialization in health/medical/hipaa compliance. I have not heard back from Edna. Colin -- Any news with AWS? I have not reached out to Oracle as they are going to market with IoT of Manufacturing. Don has some interesting meetings coming up. And, I've been tracking my outreach progress in this sheet, rather than the one above as I'm not to the due diligence state yet.
Team -- Should we backlog this project, perhaps putting more focus on outreach to system integrators? Thanks, Denise
Moving this card to the backlog until we have a specific project.
