A google search tells me this can occur when using the wrong 32/64 bit version. Could this be the case here?

Same here: IDE-Java language server stopped unexpectedly. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. Unrecognized option: --add-modules=ALL-SYSTEM Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
