How to convert hybrid coordinates to standard pressure levels?
Hello ARTS team,
I have a question about coordinate conversion. I am working with model output data that uses a hybrid sigma-pressure coordinate system, and I would like to convert it to standard pressure levels (e.g., 1000 hPa, 850 hPa, 500 hPa, etc.) to perform further analysis.
Could you please provide guidance or point me to the relevant documentation or functions within ARTS that can handle this type of conversion? I am particularly interested in understanding the best practices for this process within the ARTS framework.
Any help or examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi,
ARTS does not support conversion from hybrid levels.
Not sure, but can this not be model specific? There are instructions from ECMWF for how to handle this for data from IFS.
Bye, Patrick
