Is it possible to get side pane view for folders and subfolders?
New user: how do we get side pane view for folders and subfolders?
The search results list can show any query, also path: and folder: queries. Take a look at notmuch-search-terms for documentation on that. We don´t have a file browser.
Thanks! I am asking for a pane view for the folders and sub-folders as in the case of neomutt. See https://neomutt.org/about.html for what I am trying to ask. Thanks!
The closest in the notmuch world would be a list of tags in a separate pane. We dont have that. Notmuch does not have a very strong focus on folders compared to conventional email systems, maybe you are trying to do something with folders that would be more appropriate to do with tags and saved searches in notmuch?

Thanks, is there an example of how to do folder lists with tags and saved searches in astroidmail? I am new here, was able to get an RPM going (on Fedora) and would like to see what features I can get.
You should get saved searches when you start astroid, but you can also open it with M-s. You cant really get a list of tags or folders in astroid as is, except if you try to search and use the completion.
My setup is heavily based on folders. I do server-side filtering in folders, and later tag mails based on the folders they are located in (tag-folder.sh). Another script supports moving tags automatically to their respective folders (move-tag.sh).
Feel free to reuse as much as you want :)
Thanks very much. I am new here, moving from a traditional MUA (sylpheed) and so this will be a learning experience for me. Hopefully fun.
It would be nice to have some screenshots along with contributed configurations. Perhaps that is outside the scope of this thread.
