Fix compatibility with Emacs 31+

Emacs 31 removed the deprecated variable display-comint-buffer-action ^1.

Alright, nice. Do you have the FSF copyright assignment? I can accept this patch since it's short, but after a limit of 15 lines of code you'd need to sign those papers. (Also, nice to know that someone besides me is using this package.)

I've merged the part concerning buffer display, but not the JSON one -- AFAIK Emacs now has a built-in JSON parser so json-available-p is always true anyway.
