Add target midi in/out channel on PARM dialog
It seems that there is no way I can filter what midi channel to listen to in the port I selected? how could one route midi information to different instances of Dexed? Is there a way to make Dexed use a new port in jack for every instance?
so I tried sudo modprobe snd_virmidiand that effectively added some midi ports in Dexed, but I cant get MIDI data in, when using them, only the default MIDI port works. If Dexed will no longer be able to carry te VST version due to licensing issues, this is crucial to be able to use multiple instances of Dexed via JACK.
I understand the issue (RIP VST2). Map this to map midi channel on PARM dialog enhancement.
Maybe I missed something in the documentation, but what exactly is the point of the DX7 Out and DX7 Channel in PARAM window?
It seems that Dexed always outputs to the port set in MIDI Output in Audio/MIDI Settings window and always to channel 1 (or rather forwards whatever channel it receives), regardless of what you set in the PARAM window.
But +1 for this feature. It would simplify my workflow immensely. Especially if we could also specify the channel number from the command line.
