medet_mac an unhandled exception

Open jeffreypkelly opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

Now that M2 is in channel 1 - 2 - 3 mode, I wanted to make a false color image using -r 66 - g 65 -b 64. Using medet_mac on High Sierra, when I do that or try to use channel 66 I get an error. This does not happen on the medet_arm version. I just tried ./medet_mac 1.s image2 -r 66 -g 65 -b 64 and got an exception error.

Here is a link to a screen grab of the error: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fyO_mhO-eYKXEUV-izQBoTLlLXCxJFtv/view?usp=sharing Here is a link to a .s file with ch 1-2-3 mode: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1u2oe92cBAn4R08FOuDv-DQO83eqnQiIb/view?usp=sharing

Hopefully you can recreate or I am suffering from pilot error!

EDIT: This problem no longer exists.

I just got the same thing - had luck with other passes of meteor but this one gets the exception. Just rebuilt from source, installed fpc, and getting:

pos=47777314 ( 47.43%) ( 7, 0,60) sig= 96 rs=( 0, 0, 0, 1) 1DFCCF52 Onboard time: 17:38:35.812 < ... snip ... > pos=47957538 ( 47.61%) ( 7, 0,60) sig= 95 rs=( 0, 0, 0, 1) 1DFCCFDA An unhandled exception occurred at $000000000040AF40: EAccessViolation: Access violation $000000000040AF40

My workaround was to skip about that percentage of 1024 byte blocks of the meteor.qpsk (output of meteor_demod) and resume, since that error happened early in the picture: $ dd bs=1024 if=./meteor.qpsk of=./meteor_2.qpsk skip=47220

Good work! I just retested medet_mac using a visual only .s file 0 -1 - 2 and it now works fine.

So perhaps an update along the way solved the problem. I used ./medet_mac XXX.s XXXimage -r 66 -g 65 -b 64 -S -cd which gave me the 3 visual channels and the composite. So I guess that case is closed!
