Unknown directive IdleExitTimeout on Solaris

Open l1gi opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

On Solaris cupsd doesn't understand IdleExitTimeout because HAVE_ONDEMAND is not defined.

scheduler/conf.c:
#ifdef HAVE_ONDEMAND
  { "IdleExitTimeout",		&IdleExitTimeout,	CUPSD_VARTYPE_TIME },
#endif /* HAVE_ONDEMAND */

When cupsd starts it emits following warning:

 E [04/Oct/2024:17:41:58 -0900] Unknown directive IdleExitTimeout on line 33 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.

Could the line in cupsd.conf.in be just in case HAVE_ONDEMAND is defined, please?

Thank you

I think this is not limited to Solaris. I`m on artixlinux and see the same message:

# tail -n 100 -f /var/log/cups/error_log
E [06/Dec/2025:12:44:11 +0100] Unknown directive IdleExitTimeout on line 32 of /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.
