Use case description

Well, your pricing seems highly competitive. Startup looking for a solution outside Amazon IVS because they’ve neglected RN or Flutter.

Can I do the following out of the box today (easily)? Docs on website don’t say.

(1) Multihost live stream - upto 4 hosts joining a livestream, each with camera broadcasting. Like a meeting, but with 100s of people watching.

(2) Livestream a video file - I load a video and want to livestream it. So if the host streams to a time code or rewinds, all viewers see that.

(3) Livestream Screen broadcast - Same as 2, but whole screen.

Likely this should be targeted to your sales, but we’re engineers wanting to know from engineering. And…I personally am not looking forward to yet another sales-er telling me about how I need to start leveraging AI, no matter what question I ask. :-/ Worst case, these are desired features. Cheers

Do you have any updates on this issue? I am also looking for a solution to forward my RTMP stream to both Facebook and YouTube, as this multihost solution would work best for my case.

Hi there,

Just a quick answer. You should directly contact api.video support instead of adding an issue here.

  1. It is not related the React Native library itself but to the server. Contact api.video directly.
  2. Live streaming a video file is not supported by this React Native library.
  3. Live streaming a screen is not supported by the React Native library.
