t3c should support use of the EPEL `trafficserver` RPM

This Feature Request affects these Traffic Control components:

  • Traffic Control Cache Config (t3c, formerly ORT)
  • CDN in a Box

Description

t3c should support use of the EPEL trafficserver RPM.

Secondarily, the T3C integration tests and CDN in a Box should use an Apache Traffic Server RPM from EPEL. trafficserver has been missing from EPEL for years, but a new maintainer has stepped up and trafficserver will likely return to EPEL in the near future (https://github.com/apache/trafficserver/issues/6855#issuecomment-1136490669).

Blocking support of of an ATS RPM that uses / as TS_HOME, rather than /opt/trafficserver, is #6198.

trafficserver is in EPEL 8 now as of this morning. EPEL 7 is supposed to land soon, likely within the hour.

trafficserver 9.2.0 is also in EPEL for all "red hat" flavor. It is missing a few features as cjose is not included. Although it's easy to reuse the source RPM to rebuilt with those features.
