NetBeans 13 does not correctly import settings from 12.6

Open davedodo opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Apache NetBeans version

Apache NetBeans 13

What happened

When opening NetBeans 13 for the first time, it asks whether to import settings from 12.6. I confirm and wait for my project to open, but all fonts and colors are reset to their default values. I have not checked whether other settings are affected by this as well. I tried numerous times by deleting the "13" folder under "%appdata%\NetBeans" and starting the program again, but the result is always the same.

How to reproduce

Install NetBeans 12.6, change some settings (fonts and colors), install NetBeans 13 and opt to import the settings from 12.6. I installed for PHP-Development, no Java development.

Did this work correctly in an earlier version?

Operating System

Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2 (German)

JDK

Try using Tools / Options / Import settings and importing all / some of the settings again. This is likely interaction with the change in default look and feel.

Thank you for the suggestion. I exported the settings from version 12.6 and imported them into version 13. Unfortunately, it didn't do anything as far as I can tell.
