Readme.md needs maintainance
The roadmap is from q1 last year and
Check out basic gates for a quick introduction to the basic gates which are basically all that exist right now (and even those only exist for qiskit).
Which is no longer accurate.
Hi @rawkintrevo,
The Roadmap section is updated. However, in the Basic Gates section, the statement mentioning "basic gates only exist for Qiskit" seems outdated based on the issue description.
Could you please confirm: Are basic gates still exclusive to Qiskit, or are they now supported in other frameworks like Cirq or Braket? If supported in multiple frameworks, should we update the section to mention them?
Thank you for your guidance! 😊
Hi @Charul192 the docs are outdated, basic gates and more are implemented for cirq and bracket. If you want to update you definately can do that. Thank you!
Hi @rawkintrevo,
Thank you for confirming! I’ll update the Basic Gates section to reflect that these gates are now implemented in Cirq and Braket as well. I’ll ensure the information aligns with the current capabilities across frameworks.
Appreciate your guidance, and I’ll tag you once the updates are ready for review!
Thanks again!
Leaving this open as I'm sure there are more 'gotchyas' on that page.
@rawkintrevo I would like to work on this issue. Can you please assign me the issue
@krishna-dave206 thanks for taking it, assigned to you

@Charul192 check with @krishna-dave206 on what he needs and if you can help; thanks for volunteering!
Hi @krishna-dave206 , I’d be happy to help. Please let me know the current status of the issue and how I can contribute. Looking forward to collaborating!
I’d like to help with this. My plan is:
- Replace Mahout-related parts with Qumat as the main focus
- Update the roadmap accordingly
- Improve the Qumat README with a more detailed introduction
Please feel free to share any thoughts, any feedback or ideas are valuable. Thanks!
Please do- talk to @krishna-dave206 since he touched this last.
@guan404ming Your plan seems good, you can go ahead, I and @rawkintrevo will review once you make the changes. You have more knowledge about Qubits and Quantum Computing, so I feel you should go ahead.
