Exit when encountering an usb disconnect "cb transfer status: 1, canceling..."

A combination of my cat and a loose usb con leads to usb dis- and reconnects every few weeks. I'd like to run the program in a loop, but it doesn't terminate or reconnect after such disuptions. Just exiting to the command line with a non-zero return code would be great. Thanks.

:+1: on this, we should attempt to recover from disconnects due to dongle temperature or physical disconnect.
