[BUG] Is `CLAUDE.local.md` deprecated or not?

I also want CLAUDE.local.md support for:
Claude will also discover CLAUDE.md nested in subtrees under your current working directory. Instead of loading them at launch, they are only included when Claude reads files in those subtrees.
I want to have notes for large codebase that are loaded up depending if claude visits those folders.
I agree with @sfc-gh-mochen . Especially when moving to monorepo codebases having CLAUDE.local.md inside subdirs (not just project root) is important, as there is otherwise probably not a good personal customization.
CLAUDE.local.md still appears to work
thanks for reporting! claude.local.md does still work. i just merged an update to the docs which should be live in the next few days
