Bug Description Hey Claude Code team! Just wanted to drop a quick suggestion based on my experience.
I’ve been using the plan/act workflow in Cline and honestly, it’s one of the best ways I’ve found to work with an AI on coding tasks. It would be amazing if Claude Code could have built-in /plan and /act commands in a future update.
The flow would look like this: • Start with /plan [task description] — Claude gives a detailed plan without touching the code yet. • Then let us use /follow-up to ask questions or tweak the plan until we’re happy with it. • Finally, run /act to have Claude actually carry it out.
I know we can kind of do this now with custom commands, but I feel like if you guys built it in natively with well-tuned prompts, it would be much smoother — and way more powerful. You know the model and the tool better than anyone, so it makes sense for this kind of core workflow to be officially supported.
