[BUG] I end up in an authentication loop

What's Wrong?
I just bought a Pro subscription and started installing claude code on my work station (Fedora 43) When I start i claude it opens a web page and asks me for a verification code that should have been displayed on that page, but there was no such code. Instead the web page welcomes me, asks for my name, and invites me to install claude code (where I just came from.) This happens over and over again. I am using Chrome, but I also tried following the dispayed link and go to firefox. The result was the same. I had originally installed claude code with the native installer. I tried uninstalling and installing again using npm. Same result. I am stuck. I was really hopeful about this product, but now I don't know.
What Should Happen?
I should get the code I am prompted for so I can login.

I was just writing that I am facing exactly the same issue, I logged in several times, every time I was asked the same question in the browser and then I was doing it one more time, to add some more information to my comment but the login link this time "magically" asked me to approve the connection to Claude code and gave me the d*** code! But I would like to really add that I was in a login loop. I had tried to close and reopen Claude before as well and was still int the loop.... until I wasn't magically
