  1. Identified the ACTUAL issue: quick-code and research agents are labeled "(all)" in opencode agent list, not "(subagent)" like general and explore. They don't work as subagents in your OpenCode version.
  2. Working solution: Use general agent (which works consistently) for all subagent tasks.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #8234: Excessive token consumption since ~Jan 12, 2026 - apparently sending entire project context on every request
  • #8484: Screen lag/freezing when typing text (WSL2, TMUX, Alacritty)
  • #7893: Severe scroll lag in VSCode/Cursor integrated terminal on WSL2 after large output (unusable for minutes)
  • #8089: Auto-compaction enabled by default, but context_length_exceeded errors still occur in agent workflows
  • #8030: Copilot auth now sets far too many requests as 'user' consuming premium requests rapidly

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

There isn't anything to go off in this issue, if you provide more details or something I can help but if you are going to be rude and unhelpful im not gonna interact w/ you :)
