Difference between Nextlib and Media3 FFmpeg extension?
Hello, I’m new to video streaming and exploring different options for integrating FFmpeg into my project. I’ve come across Nextlib as well as the Media3 FFmpeg extension. From what I understand, Nextlib seems to support a wider range of video formats compared to Media3’s FFmpeg library.
Could you please explain the main differences between Nextlib and the Media3 FFmpeg extension, and in which scenarios Nextlib would be the better choice? This would really help me decide which library to use.
Thank you!
basically this library support wide format Audio: Vorbis, Opus, Flac, Alac, pcm_mulaw, pcm_alaw, MP3, Amrnb, Amrwb, AAC, AC3, EAC3, dca, mlp, truehd Video: H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9 but ffmpeg in media 3 only support few audio format it 100% not play HEVC videos exoplayer team told i have to build it via linux os and create arr that is big process but tis library simplify this. you get all in one video encoder and audio encoder instead of adding 4-5 arr files.
